Hiya, Karen, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you're hEAR!
First off, congratulations on your exciting news! You're going to love celebrating your soon-to-be Mouseketeer at the Happiest Place on Earth! In fact, you may even find yourself coming home with some adorable Mickey Mouse-themed headgear such as this cute Mouseketeer Ear Hat!
The Disneyland Resort has put together a list of attractions with an "Expectant Mothers Advisory" to help you decide which attractions you may want to avoid. Currently, there are 16 attractions on this list, including thrill rides such as Incredicoaster, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! Not to worry, though, Karen! I've visited the Disneyland Resort theme parks at all stages of my three pregnancies, and I'm happy to report that there are still plenty of attractions, shows, and experiences for you to enjoy! Some of my favorite attractions to ride while pregnant include "it's a small world", Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Golden Zephyr, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Mickey's PhilharMagic, and Soarin' Around the World.
When visiting the Resort while pregnant, it's also important to take breaks and stay hydrated. Be sure to ask for a complimentary cup of ice water from any quick-service dining location – this way, you can avoid carrying around a heavy water bottle all day. When you're ready for a break, I recommend riding the Disneyland Railroad in Disneyland Park for a great way to see the sights while resting your feet. Another favorite rest spot is the Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land inside Disney California Adventure Park. The Animation Courtyard gallery in the main lobby features plush couches in the air-conditioning, making for the perfect rest stop. In addition, don't miss Turtle Talk with Crush, Animation Academy, and Sorcerer's Workshop, all located inside this building.
Please stop back with any additional planning questions, Karen. I'd be happy to share more tips that will help you once baby arrives, too!
Wishing you a comfortable, relaxing visit to the Disneyland Resort!
Kristin
